Mates,
I recently bought a new Memorex 52X CD buriner that came bundled with Nero 5 burning software. This was goofy looking with animated figures- apparently the evil offspring of the Michelin Man and a bagel- but worse are multiple layers of confirmation for "data" or audio CD- annoying. I don't understand why the CD type has to be selected 3 times.
Now, last week came a new computer with a CD/DVD writer and "Record Now" software. This has worked all right except there is no choice in the recording speed. I've found- on my Pentium 750 at least- that some big files- over 400MB- seem to need a lowered writing speed- perhaps the buffers are getting emptied? I would also like an option for multiple copies, jewel case covers/inserts, etc. The Adaptec software with my old 8X CD-R was actually a good one- and no fuzzy bears asking if I "really want to do THAT!"..
I will eventually be using my M-Audio 2496 to Cool Edit Pro 2 or Audition 1.5.
I use this computer for eveything so the software need to be able to make all types of files from every programme.
What is everyone using to make their CD/DVDs?
Cheers,
Bambi B
