For those who use PC laptops, which Firewire ExpressCard/34 are you using, or which have the best success rate? I know the chip generally recommended for ExpressCard/34's is the TI XIO2200. I'll be using it on a Sony VAIO VPCF132FX/B Core i7-740QM machine with a MOTU 896HD.
The cards that seem most used and complaint are:
SIIG NN-EC2012-S1 FireWire 2Port Express Card (with TI XIO2200 chip):

Startech EC13942 2 Port ExpressCard Laptop 1394a Firewire Adapter Card:
(BTW--the EC13942A2 has the VIA chip, the EC13942 link below has the TI XIO2200A chip)

With other possibilities being:
Syba SD-EXPC34-2F TI Chipset 1394a (400Mbps) 2x Ports, 34mm ExpressCard (which apparently has the TI XIO2200 chip, but I can't confirm the specs)
BELKIN F5U506 3 Port USB 2.0 and FireWire ExpressCard (supposed to have the TI XIO2200 chip, but I can't find specs to confirm this)
Best Connectivity IEEE 1394A Firewire ExpressCard/34 (supposed to be the a TI chip, although I can't confirm which one, and the reviews generally seem to be crap)
I've done as much research as I can without actually buying every card to try them out, so the expertise and experience here would be very much appreciated . . .
