Hey everyone, I've been using my MR-8 for about a week now, along with a demo version of cakewalk pro audio 9. That's about to run out, though, and it's too expensive for me to buy new, so I've decided I think I'm going to go with n-tracks because you all speak so highly of it.

Problem is, I don't know where to go about purchasing it. Any suggestions? Does it exist as only a download, or can you buy it in stores?

Yup, right off of Flavio's website at fasoft.com or ntrack.com... go to the "Register" page.

If Flavio sold it in the stores, the box and artwork and CD duplication costs would take it from a $60 program to a $200 program. And we, the consumers, would gain nothing more from it.... take the download and have fun.

Welcome to the community.

Thanks, guys. Unfortunately, I'm having some problems installing the demo version....it's saying something about some .dll error or something. I'm a little nervous about paying the money for the full version, only to find that it won't install correctly.

Argh.

If I'm not mistaken I think a .dll file is a driver. Check out the drivers on your pc and look around on the fasoft site for help. Also go on the fasoft n-track forum and ask about it. Those guys know a lot about n-track.

Oh awesome...thanks, Gospel. I had no idea what that meant. I'll try it again, and once I get the same error message, I'll post the exact wording over in the n-track forum.

How are those monitors working out for you, by the way? I'm thinking I'm probably going to get the same ones...I'm just so confused about how to hook them up to my computer.

Cool site Kramer. I thought I was wrong about the driver till I found this: www.sharpened.net/glossary/definition.php?driver
Mike,
That probably means that you need to find out if n-track loads it's own drivers in which you will need to uninstall it and re-install or if it uses Windows drivers you need to find out which ones it uses so you can get them.

You were right!;)

Im not a computer tech so I didnt have a clue.LOL.Thats why I posted that website with the definition.:p
