If you punched that into the search engine, no wonder you didn't find it. Its spelled RIGID fiberglass. :)

Insulation

Rather than fiberglass search Mineral wool.

it is cheaper and more dense for sound proofing.

Search mechanical insulation suppliers for this product. Main use is for insulating boilers and industrial equipment. I can recommend a supplier if you live near chaicago.

Otherswise search Partek? or rockwool?
possible manufacturers....names have change a lot thru acqusitions.

About a hour away there is a city called Soo Sault Maria

in the UP, eh?

It's a challenge to get a loaf of bread up there, isn't it?

This may take searching that is not on the internet. Look for building supply businesses, roofing supply businesses and heating/cooling supply businesses. This is not stuff found in home improvement stores. If you talk to a contractor nice they may tell you where to get it.

ugh...yeah you're out in the boonies my friend. But try this out:

http://dexonline.com/servlet/Action...undingAreas=true&metroID=12552&headingID=1975

Paste that in your browser and scroll through the list of cities closest to you. Then get on the horn and start calling around. Ask for rockwool or owens-corning 703 equivelant. Also, if there is a Lowe's around you, they are distributors for Owens Corning. They'll claim they don't have 703 (and don't even know it exists) but make them call OC and they can get it. You'll have to pay a pretty penny though.
