Where do you go to shop your equipment? (what store?/ ex.. Guitar center)
Please help me out because i am trying to find a music store near me because i go to a guitar center really farr away... I live in Somerville, MAssachusetts. If any of you know a good store then please help me..Thank you!

I do most of my shopping online (except for instruments themselves), as my local music stores have spotty selection and the nearest GC is 80 miles away.

Zzounds/Same Day Music
Musician's Friend
Humbucker Music
Sweetwater
American Musical Supply
Music 123
Full Compass
Front End Audio
Mercenary Audio
eBay

...and many more

SoundPure, Vintage King - Haven't used Mercenary yet for some reason (nothing specific).

Musicians Friend, or Sameday Music. Guitars, the local store, but instruments is about all they have. Not much for recording.

www.thomann.de.

So far, only problem I've had with them is nudging them to get an ordered item in stock when they advertised it would be. The prices are decent (for Europe) and they pack their shipments very well. They also do C.O.D. here in Germany.

On line stores, Local Newspaper add, Yard sales I've scored some killer vintage gear at yard and garage sales it all depends on what your shopping for. I bought off ebay a few times.

Too bad Mars Music is closed down. I used to date a girl who worked there. Now she dances at the Middle East... Sorry, just old memories.

Anyways, what about Daddy's in Boston? Take the Orange line and pick up the Green at North Station or Haymarket, and ride it to Hynes and you're right there. You can check out what Daddy's has for used gear online at www.daddys.com, and if they have something used that you want that's in another store, just call the Boston store and they'll get it to their store for you.

I seem to find good deals on eBay.
Just set the highest price your willing to pay and if you don't get it at your price, then you didn't lose anything anyway.
