where do i put certain folders

so i have a program called guitar rig that makes amp modeling sound. Do i put my guitar rig directory into my plug ins folder in cubase and then use guitar rig as a plug in? or would i use it as an insert effect? where do i put insert effects so they are visible in cubase

I would put them in your VST folder. You can always create a subfolder with it and put them there.

you can use guitar rig as a stand-alone software too..you do not need to run it from a host if ya dont want to..basically if ya just wanted to jam without having to load a project and add the rig...you would just load the stand alone rig.

I don't have Guitar Rig, but I've got other NI gear so I assume the installer should be similar and if you've made the proper selections in the installer (VST, Standalone) it should put everything in their relevant places?
