I have to come from the consumer side i.e. use services of some of the people here (sound engineers/producers etc) I am a singer/writer of gospel music. Genre is varied but message is gospel. I need some good home-recording people to master my music on a joint venture basis for a debut. If you know someone with the heart and skill for this, please help. I am in South Africa but we can work across seas if needs be. It will be worthwhile. As a newbie I didn't know where else to post this - pls don't shoot me:)

Good luck, I am sure you will get some good help.

But, I was a little disappointed when I opened this thread- I was expecting a new joke:) :

Q: Where do composers go when they die?

A: _____________:confused:

They don't go anywhere they just de**************.

A: well they all decompose eventually....

Well, maybe you won't get much help, now that I seem to have totally derailed your thread...:o

Are your songs already mixed and ready for mastering?

I'm cutting down on my replies to first posters... they lob in, ask an obscure question and then we never hear from them again... I can't work out exactly what services the dude requires either...

Sorry for the disappearing act. Some of it though mixed still needs to be tweaked in arrangement so basically not mixed not mastered. The mixing is more for a writing purposes than for final recording. I hope I am making sense, I am new to the industry.

Tracking is putting your ideas down. then you mix them to sound exactly what you want to hear them. Then master.

If you have not mixed yet, I'll give a crack at one of your songs.
