I know I saw this question answered in the last couple of weeks but I can't find it to save my life...sorry for asking.

I'm running an 'extended desktop' supporting two monitors...is it possible to get M-Powered Protools 7.0's mixer on one monitor and edit window on the other?

Thanks and sorry for the double post (I didn't post it the first time though)

yes, and in my opinion it's a must!

I'm guessing you're using Windows? Unfortunately the Windows version doesn't make it as easy as pressing the maximize button. But what you need to do is extend the Pro Tools program itself.
Make sure the program is not maximized to begin with and grab the lower corner tabs and stretch to the sides of each monitor. So you should get one big, long Pro Tools program. Then just open the Mix and edit windows and place them where you want them as well. Maximizing them will fill both screens, though...so adjust the size manually like you did for PT window. PT will remember where they are placed when you close and reopen the session.

Hey thanks man.

I guess it'd work better if my monitors were the same size and not sitting diagnolly from each other. Limited space, limited funds..you know how it is. Boy it'd be sweet if PT 7.1 would allow you just to drag the mixer out like you can with the transport controls and CPU meter.

Oh well, better luck next time.
