Where can i try out mics in the UK?

Hi everyone,

I am about to start a recording studio at home of me singing. To do this professionally i need a microphone. Ive heard lots of good reviews on mics which persuade me to buy them but do not persuade me enough. So I need everyone's help. Is there a place in the UK where I can try mics out. I want to be serious about my recording so I need a decent mic that sounds good on my voice.?

What other equipment do you have at this point? What is your budget? Plugging a mic into a PA system or mixer with headphones at a music store is not going to tell you much about how a mic works with your voice.
