When Music Was Fun

I write serious stuff, cryptic stuff, humourous stuff, sarcastic stuff, deep stuff, reflective stuff....my subject matter runs across the known universe but even in the serious stuff there may be some lines that just crack me up. I was recording a song at the weekend about a break up with an old lady friend that happened many years ago called "Acute nostril agony". The opening line is 'It was the hardest punch I ever walked into/ I couldn't get to roll, it came so fast'. It records a true story and when I got to the end of the second verse, it came out as such a hefty mouthful, I just burst out laughing.
I do get your drift though, sometimes, the way wars break out on forums related to recording or the way some people go on, you have to question whether some do actually have fun. Personally, I love writing and recording. Even if I'm not particularly good at it, I don't care. Even if I don't make the right moves or put my mics in the right places, I don't care. Even when things go wrong and I have a cracking headache after layering the same guitar part 8 times, I don't care. It's fun ! :D :thumbs up:

Do you have "Acute nostril agony" posted anywhere that I could hear it. The fact that you enjoy writing and recording no matter what is, in my opinion, as good as it gets. When it stops being fun, its time to quit.

Throw in some rum and kool-aid, you got yourself a nice scorpion bowl!
