When I Arrived ... by me :D

When I arrived
I found I'd gone nowhere
My baggage got lost somewhere on the way

It was a lousy day
Everything not going my way
And yet I had to smile

Because every day is beautiful, you know?
When you've got your peace of mind?

You really have arrived

I traveled so far
And wound up going nowhere
A smile on my face
After running in place
It's just another day
Every day’s really quite okay

No need to worry
Where’s that smile?

Because every day is beautiful, you know?
When you’ve got your peace of mind?

You really have arrived

Yet once in a while I feel it.
I feel it too much.
I get so out of touch with what is right and good and fine.

… and so I need to realign.

Hey it’s a sunny day.
Why would you get in your own way?
When you can wear a wise man's smile?
Because every day is beautiful, you know?

When you've got your peace of mind?

You really have arrived.

I'll lay it on the line ...
There's nothing more you'll find.

When you've got your peace of mind?

You really have arrived.

I'm going back and remixing some of my older collections w/ new tools that I purchased over the years since their original release. The original mixes were done w/ some pretty rudimentary stuff compared to what I now have in my arsenal. Plus I learned a couple of new tricks since when ...

These are "from the ground up" remakes. Maybe Taylor Swift inspired me to just do them better than they were when I originally worked on them. :D

Hope ya like - any/all comments are warmly welcome.

It's light. It's bouncy. It's like some playful 60's band music. It's fun.

The mix sounds ok to me. The only thing that jumped out at me was that back and forth Leslie effect @ 2:05 - it's a little rough and a bit too loud.

Thanks for the ears! I tend to mix low on cheap speakers and will force parts I want to hear more of a bit louder than I should in context.

But I find that also helps me hear the bass better in clarity ... meaning I will bury it way back if I mix too loud. The organ is an easy fix.
