LOGIC ABUSER
I have acquired a Wheatstone Compressor/Limiter model 1202A
Im searching for a manual for this puppy.
Are they worth a crap ?? dont know
its in great shape though

who are wheatstone?

I've got my eye on a very nice 'looking' parametric EQ by the same company, whom I can find very little information on.

They appear to make some nice quality consoles for broadcasting, etc.

The parametric I'm looking at looks cosmetically along the same lines with it's blue screen printing, etc. Looks the business for $100, which is what they're asking for it.

Appears to have some kind of audio transformer bolted on the back, too, which is interesting.

Anyway, Wheatstone remains something of a mystery.

For Wheatstone information, try doing some searches for "Audioarts" also. They were closely tied together several years ago. I actually mixed a show at a venue the other day that had a Wheatstone FOH console installed at the venue. It was less than spectacular. The EQ that you are looking at may be a racked channel strip EQ with a power supply bolted to the back. The board I worked on the other day only had a 3 band fixed EQ, and was "OK" sounding. I really don't know much about their compressors, but based on other experiences and other peoples feedback about Wheatstone in general, I would not expect too much. It may turn out to be great as a "flavor" though:)
