Just curious, to see what people are generally working with on this forum, you can just post the basics if you want or get as detailed as you want. Want to see if people here are more decked out pro-level, or minimalist home recorder. I pretty much fall into the latter category.
I have a mac-book, presonus audiobox USB. For preamps I also have a Mackie 402vlz3 mixer, and newly acquired EHX 12ay7.
For mics I have an Oktava mk200, . An electro-voice 676, and an SM57 clone. I'm very happy with this setup, plenty of stuff to learn and experiment with, make good sounding demos. Mainly used for recording guitar and vocals.

Hey man. Welcome to HR. The people on here are amazing, some real dedicated guys just trying to help eachother out. My setup has been kind of wishwashy, but I am actually upgrading a ton tomorrow. However, as of right now, here is my setup

Pc= Hp Dv8t
Mics= Ksm44, Shure SM7B, MXL 603s, Sm57, Pg58, ADK Hamburg
Audio Interface= Fp10
Mic Pre= DMP3
Monitors= KRK RP8s G2
Headphones= Sennheiser HD280s
12 Bass traps of different thicknesses, 12 Auralex 2x4 panels
A bunch of stands and cables

Soon i will be adding a Great River MP-2nv and an Apogee Rosetta 800 to the setup which should really help me out

Oh and my DAW is REAPER!! i love it

AMD XP64 3700, 3GB RAM
M-Audio Delta 44
Joe Meek 3Q mic pre
1xShure SM57
Samson Reveal active monitors.
Cubase SX3

That's it.

Hoping to upgrade to 16 track soon but this is what I've got at the moment:

Fostex R8 1/4" 8 Track recorder
Fostex 812 12 Channel, 8 Bus Mixer
Studiospares SN10 monitors powered by Alesis RA 150 amplifier
Celestion F30 speakers powered by 40W valve HiFi amp
Behringer microamp headphone amp
Sennheiser HD 201 headphones
2 x Behringer MIC200 preamps
Alesis Wedge reverb/multi FX unit
Behringer Tube Composer compressor
Sony RCD W100 CD recorder
Yamaha KX580 cassette deck

2 x Oktava MK-219
SM57
AKG D112
AKG D321

I'm pretty pleased with the results from my setup but I think 16 tracks would just make my recordings a lot better. I have to bounce the drums to one track so I lose the ability to change the sound or the balance of them and the bouncing itself compromises the sound.

Mainly make beats and record 1 or 2 channels of audio (vox, bass sometimes synth audio.. usually midi with Nexus, Omnisphere, Rapture etc)

Macbook Pro
Neaumann TLM-103
Saffire Pro 24
Logic 9
Waves
Melodyne/Auto-Tune
Roland V-Drums >> BFD

KRK RP8's G2
ATH-m40fs
m audio omini
m audio quattro
Line 6 toneport
Ableton Live 8
Sonar Studio 8
3 x UAD-1 + plugs
TC powercore + plugs
HP duel core 2.88ghz 4 gig ram, XP home
Auralex bass traps

thats the basic monitoring/recording/whatever the rest is guitars, basses, synths, midi controllers, multi effects, amp modellers, mics, and a couple of mixers and DI's...hope to one day own a digital version of a lava lamp

EDIT: forgot, tambourine & egg shaker :)

I too have a sweet new rug that, "really ties the room together". I try to tie the mix together and the rug helps. :D

Custom built PC that I can never remember the specs of except dual 500GB harddrives
M-Audio Firewire 1814
KRK RP5 Monitors
AT 3035 LDC
Joe Meek JM27 x 2
Roland Fantom X8
REAPER for my DAW
All kinds of softsynths and what not, my main ones being Superior Drummer 2.1, Omnisphere and Kontakt. I've also been using Absynth 5 and FM8 quite a bit lately for instrumental stuff.

My next purchase when the "studio fund" finds itself with more than a couple nickels in it is more than likely a nice preamp.

Drum Mics... AKG D112 on kick, Senn e609 on snare, pair of Octava MC012 for overheads, (3) ES57s on toms.
Guitar Cab mics... SM57 on one cabinet and Aidix i5 on the other
Vocal Mics... Senn e825, Audix OM2, crusty ol EV mic (PL-somethin), Octava 319 (use the first three when playing live, the 319 when we overdub).

Preamps... Soundcraft M8 mixer- 8 pres w/ direct outs. Presonus D8 single rack 8 channel preamp. Art "tube" preamp.

Sound Cards- (2) MAudio Delta 1010lts. Gets me 16 simultaneous tracks

Software... Reaper, various free plug ins

Computer...Custom built AMD Athlon single core 2500 with a gig of ram and a bunch of hard drives. I'm just recently maxing out the capabilities of this machine. May be time to build a new one soon.

Monitors... Event TR8 active

Headphones... Behringer HA4000 headphone amp. various cheap closed back headphones- nothing special- they're only used for tracking.

Room... Lots of acoustic treatment- all rigid fiberglass and rockwool

My "studio" is my bands practice space- we have drums, 2 guitars, bass and three vocals. We're setup so we can pretty much hit record when we practice and get everything on separate tracks. Live recording in there sounds pretty good.

Next major upgrade (if I ever can justify the cost) will be to lose the 1010lts and get a better interface. Unfortunately, choices are limited for interfaces without preamps- had my eye on a MOTU 24IO $$$. :)

plain white toast and four whole chickens ;)
What, no tank of gas, half pack of cigarettes and nighttime sunglasses?;) :D

Your mention of a green bullet reminds me that I didn't list that in my list though I have one also. I didn't think of it because I haven't actually used it for recording (yet), only for my own live playing.

That and I traded it for an old police interceptor...
