What's with these?

A while back I bought a bunch of mics on ebay for about a buck each....one of those evenings where I bid on a few things out of boredom never expecting to end up stuck with them. Anyway, the brand name is Apex, which I am unfamiliar with...model 850. They seem to work okay, I guess I'm just curious as to why no one else in the entire world wanted them. Did I get a bargain, or did I waste my five bucks?...Brian

There's plenty of info on Google about this mic. I'd say that if you have lots of backing vocalists, and you do a lot of live performances, then you've definitely got a bargain
