these "worn finish" SG's and V's.....are they in stores yet to see? These gotta be the least expensive Gibsons currently on the market. Wonder if they're just dog doo....
Kinda "blockish" fingerboard...V is kinda cool.Older Gibson V and old Ibanez V are light years ahead of these as far as feel go{if you like the classic neck radius ect}.These are very square, flat.{Not in the mid 70's shape..Flater}Its a feel thing so YMMV..Power chords would be the thing these guits seemed more suited for than anything requiering more dexterity{single line, vibrato stuff}..Saw them at Sam Ash picked it up and put them down pretty quick..So basicly what Im saying is I didn't like them very much
Yeah...I kinda figured they might be crap. I used to have a 67 V back in the seventies...and I just loved it. Played good, sounded good, etc. Then, it got ripped off in the 80's
I just have never paid more than $400 bucks for a guitar....but it has also been about 15 years since I've bought anything 'decent'. I've got a decent strat, ric bass, a guild starfire, and a bunch of other stuff, assorted accoustics (but no Taylors ), and the idea of shucking out $1500 makes me shudder...except for a good acoustic maybe...but for an electric...I don't know.
