What's up with France and Germany?

Guy's we bail Europe out twice and look at the respect we get. Not only did we save their hides we rebuilt their countries. Now here we are trying to save them again and France and Germany want to use more diplomacy. The last time France wait and tried diplomacy was with German and they lost their country and the Germans marched into Britain. However, America was there to save the whole EU at the cost of ten's of thousands of American lives. To make maters worse the same countries that know what it's like to be invaded refuse to turn the favor and help Turkey defend itself from Iraq.

The irony of this is that we are only asking for the EU's help out of courtesy. We don't need the EU and we don't need NATO to defend Turkey. Why? Because ,we the Americans are 75% of NATO and the UN. That's right, and in many UN and NATO actions we carry 90% or more of the load. I do not mind this, because all of those other countries with the exception of Britain are so far behind the US in technology and military power they just hamper our efforts. I say forget the UN and NATO and lets do what is best for our country. Because at the end of the day when Europe is once again under attack, we will be there to save there ungrateful butts.

In the 60's when France told us to remove all of our Troops from France, the then US Sec. of State said
"would that include the thousands of dead US Solders that are buried in our country from two World Wars so that you can be free today". Some people's memories are so short.

Don't get me wrong, I back up the yanks on this one. Saddam needs bringing down.

Going against my better judgement by even replying to this flamebait. But.................

The true "Irony" is that Sadam and Iraq pose almost no threat to anyone but his own people. And if this was the criteria to attack and topple foreign governments, I can think of many regimes that would come before Iraq.

There is actually no proof that Al Quaida has any links w/ Sadam. And I believe that the Terror Alert Mood-ring changing colors, is nothing but a ruse to bolster support for this stupid war.

Even though we do disagree on this war, I have to admit that my oppinion of the French, is that they are a bunch of cheese eating surrender monkeys! But at least their government is good enough to listen to public oppinion and react accordingly, unlike the USA who says "damn public oppinion........we need to start a war, who cares what anyone thinks!"

Anyway, if you are so inclined, get out there and march for peace today, and if not, stay home and yell at CNN on the TV. As for me, Im going to stay in and create some sweet music and then go out and play!

If this does not prove that the UN is out of touch and screwed up I don't know what does.

It has alot to do with equipment, like what if theres an embargo on the German Mics.
 
screw germany and france and iraq... they all deserve each other.
the usa needs to stop rebuilding everyone else's country and start focusing on spending more on education for children in the usa. let the other countries sort their own issues. (we should help the UK though if and when they need it)

we should just take iraq and make it the 51st state. then we'll have all the oil we need. I think oil is the only reason the us government even cares anyhow.

long live the US and the UK. and may not one more american life ever be sacrificed for the germans or the french.

The Kuait government has been appreciative so far.:rolleyes:

I say Screw them and keep troops in the region under the guise of protecting Isreal.

Then when Iraq is going into Kuait again. Surprise Attack with the world on our side.

then we loot germany, take all the Neumanns ,Gefels, and Sennheisers on the way back.
 
Be thankfull the French are not allied to the cause. My late father-in-law served in ww2 from 1939 till the end and his comments on the French and their use I couldn't print.
 
Can someone tell me how the french contributed to the advancement of audio and music?

Can you name 1 french preamp, mic, compressor, EQ, channel strip, amp, monitor, mixer, etc ??

EMU/paris doesnt count.
