I was playing Final Fantasy X and I was sitting here thinking....some of that would go good in a beat just to fuck around with it. I always notice weird little things that make me think...that would sound good on a beat. Getting permission would be a bitch, but aren't all samples facing that problem if you don't have the dinero?
Anyway, thinking about that, what's the most unlikely sample that you ever thought of putting on a beat (either for your own song or someone else's). Did you do it and how did it sound?
Oh by the way, I'm thinking about taking the Blitzball theme (it's a nice guitar rock loop) off Final Fantasy X and looping a part of it and maybe rapping over it just for fun, but the "Hymn of the Fayth" chanting, I've seen sampled before (badly) and I thought about using that as an intro on a real track. If you haven't played that game look some of that up.
