What the best soundcard for pc? It does'nt matter if it's usb or whatever. I have the m-audio quattro, but I'm not too happy with it, whe I'm recording vocals I can't hear the vocals with the music at the same time, This is starting to piss me off. Anyone have any alternatives? I'm sick of the quattro, and I want to move on. I'm sure there's a bunch of other audio devices out there.
Help me please.

I wouldn't discredit your sound card just yet. That's actually a decent card for homerecording purposes. There are ways around the monitoring situation, may want to invest in a mixer that has a few busses, that way you can record, playback, record while playback, etc. without buying a new sound card. Do a search for 'mixer setup' and you'll see a bunch of diagrams that will show you how to setup a mixer with your pc to do what you're wanting to do. Hope that helps :D

you just need to go into the control panel and adjust levels in the software mixer......

I just bought M-Audio’s Delta 10/10LT at Musician’s friend online for $280. It has 10 analogue ins and outs. It’s also capable of 5.1.

I’ve only been using it now f or about a week and I am happy with it so far. I didn’t spend the extra $$ for the breakout box.

Agreed. If you can't monitor while tracking, you haven't set it up properly
