No question. It's not "what you get out of it," by the way. It's "what you put into it." If you have the mics, and the room, and the experience, there's no limit. If you don't, you'll have to learn how to record just as you would at any big name studio.

I third that. The actual software is one of the least effecting things in your recording world. There are minor differences in sampling rates here and there, but don't put too much stock in the software.

yea...i agree with most of this...I think the plug-ins you choose will make a differance. Waves for instance is much better than the stock CEP plugins...

I think 10,000 albums is the maximum one can sell with CEP. However, if you get the newer Adobe Audition 1.5 it's been rumored that this barrier can be surpassed.

In all reality, what everyone has said is correct. You are the #1 factor.
