I want to learn how to play the drums, or at least give it a shot to see if its for me or not. I've been looking at getting an electric set, something pretty cheap since I dont want to spend a whole lot of money just to find out I suck at it :D
I read on here somewhere that Roland was pretty good for beginners and I was hoping for some feedback / suggestions on which set would be good to start out on.

Roland are FANTASTIC, they respond to playing at different velocities and have rim-triggering, some great sounds, and the TD3 has some great lessons built in to the brain (I can't speak for the others as I haven't really tried them out).

Downside is, they start at 650GBP. The Yamaha sets are a bit cheaper, and I've read up some good things here about them, decide a budget and go to a store to try some out.

Thanks for the advice. Sorry about not using the search, I found the newbie section since then :D haha guess I should have looked first.
