I have 2 Dimension III's, and yeah, the reverbs aren't spectacular, but the rest of the effects are quite decent. They can also be picked up for a song.

So, what's everyone got against DOD? I've never had any issues at all.

Because they used to make great products then when they got popular and started mass production it was like they started down a hill with no brakes.

Well said.

I used to have a couple DOD pedals, but now they are just housings for my DIY pedal projects. I got nothing against them, just thought their stuff didn't sound all that great.

so what you're saying is, you dont like them, and the only use you can find for them is ripping out all the electronics and using the box for your own project... but apart from that they're fine? :p

Andy

(p.s. - i've never even heard of DOD, but i Do like making sarcastic comments :p)

Back in the day like in the 80,s they where just about like behringer, Alesis, Hammerfall, today, Only built better
Cheap to buy compared to the good stuff.

Let me put it this way: Digitech makes cheap crap that should never be confused with professional equipment. DOD is the stuff Digitech makes that isn't good enough to be called Digitech.

Jason, that's cold...

...but I do have a DOD headphone amp. Due to be replaced soon for one with balanced ins.

LOL, I guess that is what I said. What I mean when I say I don't have anything against the company is that if they did come out with a great sounding box at a good price, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it based on name alone. There's a few companies that have either burned me so bad or have such a shitty rep, that I couldn't say the same for.

I use a DOD 2 channel 31 band graphic EQ every gig and it has saved my bacon a bunch of times and without a whimper. Balanced jacks and all that. What I do not like about it is that in order to fit into 2 rack spaces and sell it at a bargain, the sliders are studies in miniaturization. Drives me nuts, but it gets the job done and is quiet.

I have a Digitech RP200A that is kind of complicated for what it gets you - lots of useless crap and a few useful settings. I have a Digitech stomp box that is quiet and adds serious gain when I stomp it. I tried out a similar one that was full of hiss. The one I bought was quiet. I have a Danelectro box that you can hear humming in the next county. I suppose if I spent $600 on an effects pedal, I'd notice a difference.

For the money these kick ass, whether they used to be better or not. But I expect like anything else, the day comes when you want far more. So far I'm still learning with these and they're worth what I paid for them. Especially the EQ.
