I have the Revalver SE from my Sonar, but just heard I have the 50% version and not the FULL version. Is the FULL version even better?
Was wondering what is the BEST amplifier/effects software for guitar. Thanks! Peter ><>

I have the Revalver that came with Sonar. I've heard the Amplitube.

Go for Amplitube! :)

Better is relative word. I have the full version of ReValver. It's great for my kind of guitar sound !!! The difference will be the feature that lets you use this effect as DX plugin, OR as stand alone program. So you can connect your guitar into line in, and boof... It also has many more amp model & effect set... Since I'm happy with my outboard FX, I use ReValver recently for variation only. And it's great...

I still think that my V-Amp 2 is better than Revalver... Some things are best left to outboard effects! :)

ive gott a j-station i use quite a bit and of course i have revalver with sonar and i used to use revalver alot but it has like a wavy sound to it due to my cheap souncard i believe so i mainly use outboard now. but from reviews i have read the ampltube is better than revalver.

You can compare it yourself:

So is Amplitude.:(

Anyway, everything is expensive in Norway. I once had to get a bank loan to have a few beers in Stavanger:D

But it is a staggeringly beautiful country. Bergen especially.

Bergen beautifull?

No, no! Stavanger is the best! I'm visiting my folks this easter, so I'm going "home"!

And the beer is expensive? Really I haven't noticed. I like paying more than 50 NOK (will be around £9?) for a 0,4L can. :D

I visited Stavanger many, many times. Enjoyed many a night out at Churchills and the nite club underneath the SAS hotel.
But you guys certainly have to pay a lot of taxes with beer $15 a can:eek: Even makes England look cheap:)

And a boat trip to the Devils Pulpit is a must;)

The nightclub under the SAS-Hotel... Are you talking about Club Cobra? That' underneath Atlantic Hotel (but it's a part of the SAS-hotel group).

And if you haven't walked up to the top of Devils Pulpit, you really should (a sunny day)! :)

Thats the one...but I had thought it was the Barracuda although most times that I went, I was very "tired and emotional" after more than a few beers so it could have been called anything and I wouldn't remember:D

The Hotel had a great restaurant on the first floor, overlooking the inner harbour.

I only went to the devils pulpit by boat. We also used to travel from our office just outside Stavanger by boat into the Harbour for lunch in one of the quayside eating places. Great times. Not a lot of work got done in the afternoons:D

Amplitube is the better, but not the most cost-effective.

If money is an issue, get Revalver. Or better: Get the V-Amp 2, and saveCPU-cycles aswell... ;)

YEAH but amplitube is VST!!
Works well with a Wrapper?
I own the FxPansion
