so he was lying for me..

but the dmp3 was a 2 channel pre-amp..any good single ones?...

i could always return it

Yes, the DMP3 has two preamps. That is a good thing because if you want you can record any instrument in stereo. Two preamps are better than one.

) : I went to Guitar Center trying to get your guys' $120 deal on the DMP-3 that you all have gotten and i got all the way to the fuckin manager and he said "the lowest I can go is $130.14. That's what we pay" Fuckas. did you guys get it for this price out the door? I'm really worried that i'm losing my touch

T

I bought a DMP3 and an Oktava MC012 for $199 out the door.

The DMP was on display for $199, I paid $119. The MC012 was on display for $99, I paid something like $71 and some change. Add CA sales tax, and I walked out the door with a dollar left from the $200 I walked in with.

im an rap artist, i don't use instruments

MicFlo- Do't you think that's thinking in the box (the cage) a little?
Wow, I'm a rapper, so for the rest of my life, I'm gonna be a one mic kind of guy. No stereo for me, no man. Don't think about your music one dimensionally, it'll keep you down. If you want to learn about recording, you will record all kinds of stuff. Try birdsongs sometime, they might teach you about how to avoid that nasal quality and cut through the mix.-Richie

Ask yourself this, would you rather have a shitty single channel preamp (because one channel is all you need), or would you rather have a good two channel preamp (even though you will only use one channel)? What is so difficult for you to understand about that? Or are you just trolling?

^iono, but why everybody acting mean to me or sarcastic...

thanx for suggestions

holy sh*t! $99??? $130????

what the hell do you guys say to get that?? give me tips!!

i dont think i can talk a penny down with anyone! i usually go to the guitar center in commack, long island ny, anyone ever have any luck with that place??

Yo dumass- PM my drummer, Rimshot. He lives in Huntington. He'd probably be willing to go there and let you watch him operate. He's already ground plenty of GC balls into a fine powder. Hell, buy him lunch and he'll probably save you $50-70
on a DMP-3-Richie

dumass, I got mine at the GC in San Marcos, CA. Someone else had posted that they got one for $119. I printed out the thread and took it in with me. If you do a search you will find the original thread and the one where myself and others posted that they were able to get that deal. Print them out and take them with you.

God Luck.

Sorry I was an ass. I wish you luck with your recordings.

The DMP3 is still the best IMO.

You have to play their game. I look at sales for what I want.
Then, after the sale IF it is still there, make an offer.
Next sale, keep watching it. You MAY lose it. Oh well, you can't always win.
After 2nd sale, make an offer with comments like "Hey, I have cash and this thing is still here, Maybe I was wrong. I heard it was a great unit but no one has bought it yet"
Make them nervous.
You are now his only hope.
If he gives you a price that you like, buy it.
If not, tell him "See you after the next sale!' and leave.

Never stick around looking at it. You will lose your bluff. He will know you are thinking about accepting his price.

I have been successful in all sales at GC because I never NEED anything that bad. I always talk to the salesguys and make it known in an offhand way "Hi, I'm bored today and probably have everything I need, so what do you suggest?"
Let them talk about whatever and lead them to the item you want after boring them with useless conversation. You want them to WASTE time. Time invested trying to sell you something gets them to REALLY want to sell you something. Get it?
They get commission and TIME IS MONEY to them. The more stupid questions you get them to answer, the more time you waste. They now have to get some money for their trouble.
Now, you move in for the sale.

Keep trying and always treat the item you want in a so-so, maybe I want it, I already have so many blah blah blah..way.

For $210 you can have two awsome channels of mic pre-amplifacation.

I will sell you my Art MP and DBX Tube Pre AND throw in two FREE mic cables.

You'd have to pay shipping though but since both of these are small it would be minimal shipping costs.
