What's a cheap and quality computer interface?

I want to record drums on my computer (using reaper or Kristal or garageband). and was wondering what is a good interface to purchase? I have a standard 2 tom mics, a kick and snare mic, and 2 overhead mics. I have xlr cables, but I'm willing to buy quarter inch cables if that helps me find a cheaper interface. But i want at least 6 or 8 channels recording at once. Thanks!!!

I wouldn't advise USB- they generally have latency issues. The Presonus Firebox is under $300 and has a great preamps for the price. It only has two inputs though. The Firepod has alot more inputs, but its gonna run a lot higher too.

Your probably going to be in the $500 = $700 range for 8 ins
