Hey I used to own a Creative Ex-fi Elite pro, and noticed when i was showing off some recordings on youtube sometime ago! I liked to talk into my mic, and explain whats going on as Cubase 5 was playing my music all live. I used camtasia for it, however I also used a webcam for singing.
And instead of using the webcamera's mic to record the sound I would use a feature called "What you hear" on the Creative-xfi card. SO i would tell then the software that controls the webcam to Record AUDIO from WHAT YOU HEAR! and upload straight away to youtube.
Problem i NOW face is! the TASCAM us-1800 clearly doesnt support this. How the heck am i going to record AUDIO live and play my music in cubase 5 and record from webcam at the same time I have no way of doing this.
Tascam has audio in Balanced and unbalanced! I have Headphones jack also. But i cant plug these into each other as it will be a nasty loop of messy noise. I Have a internal soundcard but it doesnt like to record from headpones as the level is to damn high.
