I liked the tone of the first amp (whatever it was) better than the Legacy... just my opinion...

Nice soloing though.... you have a good vocabulary....

I thought the first amp had a better tone also. could be how it was recorded or eq/volume settings though.

Yip that tone is real nice. Real big and full and deep and nice.
What amp and guitar did you use?
Ahh its the delay thats making it soo full and deep.
Yeah, some delay and chorus... but that's only enhancing the tone... it's not making the tone... you can't make something it's not

The first clip is my 3ch Dual Recto Solo (Ch 2 Vintage) and the second clip is the Legacy 212 that I just received. I only had the Legacy for an hour before I recorded the clip.

Thanks bro...

Yeah I agree it's definitely more of a rock tone than blues tone, but it's nice tone. The solo was ok, if a little directionless maybe. I agree with Tim about the longer phrases needing a break. Or maybe they just needed to be resolved differently. It seemed to me like they just kept going and going but the payoff never came at the end or something.

These comments are in reference to the first solo (didn't listen to the second one yet).

Anyway, nice recording of the guitar tone.
Thanks... I appreciate the feedback...

Thanks for listening and for the feedback... One big difference is that I spent considerably more time with the DR Solo dialing the tone... I pretty much turned on the Legacy, fiddled a bit, and recorded.

Yeah... stream it or download it... trying to make it convenient

Really dug this tone....awesome playing...agree with a earlier comment that its blues as much as Satriani is blues.....not a traditional type of blues tone...but very effective none the less. I think your style is really cool....makes me wanna go practice!

Thanks for taking the time...

Just a bit confused with the quote above, but it dont really matter.
I appreciate the two methods of listening you put up.

Maybe this will help...

I have posted two different clips to the same backing track... the first is my Dual Recto Solo and the second is my Legacy 212. The first post (Recto) had a Streaming and Download link. The second post (Legacy) only had a Streaming link.

Cheers...

Gotcha now. Muat have overlooked the second post. I had a listen and the second lead is not as loud as the first in comparison to the backing, so you coul say the backing is louder in the second. I still think that the first tone is better as it has more life. Hard to describe tones in words.
