Hello,
I am young (16 to be exact) and eager to learn. I have a real passion for doing what I do, and that is recording but ofcoarse, I don't know everything.. yes
Anywhooo,
I have got a client coming in who is one of these styles of metal and I am wanting to do a few tricks to their songs so that they can keep coming back and funding my new equipment
I have got a song called Chelsea Smile by Bring Me The Horizon and I am wanting to learn some tricks to immitate that kind of drum sound.
I have made a small clip of the song and what I am focussing on is how do they get a nice deep ringing snare sound and also that explosive kick drum as it comes back into it.

I understand there will be a few tricks to get this explosive kick sound so I am open to all options to give them a try. Im all ears
Snare positions, effect chains, some settings for eq or compressors.. anything to help me out.
If someone could help me out I would be sooo grateful.
Also, if anyone has any tips on what they do to this type of style of music to any aspect, drums, guitar and even vocals, again I'd love to read all of your suggestions
Peace,
Luke
