What would you do?

Thanks for all the replies guys I really got a lot to think about.

Considering I just bought a house, I am planning on building a room for recording in the backyard.

Honestly I've been giving the Tascam US-428 some dirty looks lately... All I use it for is controlling cubase and I still end up reaching for the mouse most of the time. I'm starting to think that this is the weakest link in my chain.

I know, I know alot of you guys are pointing fingers at the bellari MP-105 but i only use it behind the Triton to warm up the sounds a little with the tube. It works wonders on those thin sounding basses that come out the keyboard.

I would replace the berry for another converter but right now my inexperiened ears can't really tell the differance between 24/44 and 24/96 plus I haven't run across a good 8 channel ad converter that fits what i need (adat out so i can plug it into the 1212m). I did however see an alternative an possibly better idea in the form of M-audio's Octane preamp. What do you guys think?

I'm sure that 3,000 will get me a nice analog mixer with direct outs (Thinking a soundcraft M12) to put in front of the ada8000 and i can use the rest of that money towards building me a a half decent room to record in.

Keep the ideas coming...
Will
