I have two realistic speakers that are fairly old. I was wondering what would be the cheapest way to power them so I can plug one or both of them into a computer or mp3. they are 50watts, 8ohms. I am looking for something small too.

I use an Ashly SRA-120 rack mount power amp for my passive monitors. You can usually find them on e-bay for @$100 or so. I'm sure you can find also an Onkyo receiver or similar consumer receiver for less on E-bay or one of the refurb vendors, which should work just fine.

Hey Marshall, if you live in Canada there is a sale on some amps at the source. They have a 40W PA amp for $39.99. I doubt it's great quality, but will probably serve its purpose.
