what would be better...krk question

now i am a hiphop rap guy....so i definitly want 8 inches... at first i wasnt going to get a sub but i do like bass and i plan on using these speakers for everything even regular listening. not no expert in mixing but i got books and do some on my sony md-v600 headphones(big no no btw). anyway thats about to change cause i am getting my firebox(no more "creative" mixing). now i figure i would get the sub aswell just for more room shaking sound. that setup is like $800 but i see krk has this other series which seem better but is it worth it for me?? would it be better to spend $800 on the v-8 series?? whats the major difference cause if i get v-8 series i cant get sub not going over budget....

It's the next size up from the V-8. It has two eight inch drivers and a tweeter per cab. They definately do volume a bit better, but I also like they way they feel when working on certain types of music. They reach a little lower without needing a sub, but they also seem to get really solid with low mids which can be really important.
