I was going to start exporting my tracks ( one-by-one) from my vf16 to a jaz drive and then into the computer( that is unless i find a easyer way.) for editing and eq and compression. I was looking a cool edit pro 2.0 and i liked what i was seeing and really liked the price. I was trying to choose which software to go with. i was thinking of cool edit or cakewalk sonor. which one is the best? My buget would be about $300

...Gee, you're asking a very tough question here :) I love CEP2 and SONAR both. Just love 'em all the way. And I think both will do just fine. But I found if you concentrate on wave editing & FX applying (Eq, Comp, etc) then use the CEP2. Can be done in SONAR but it doesn't do that easy to edit wave. However, if you like to add a synth/loop/MIDI work latter to the final touch, then go SONAR. Based on your story, I'll go with CEP2...
