What to get?

Hey all. I am setting up my home studio and have been told that i can get anything for $300.00 for Xmas at the moment I have a PC running samplutde 11, novation NIO/24, SM57,SM58 and a behringer condenser, two turn tables, DJ CD and an electronic drum kit also a set of m audio monsters.

I want to use my studio for Recording vocals and recording bands but also want to start mixing, so im thinking a control surface to mix on but i only have $300.00 any ideas what i could get for that or anything else i should look at getting?

I wouldn't worry about a control surface. You can mix totally fine without one. It's just a nice add on but won't allow you to do anything that you couldn't otherwise.

There are lots of other things you could put to much better use.

If it were me, I'd look at some pre-amps and upgrading microphones.
