I'm finally sick to death of my mixers built in pre's so I'm gonna by a four channel pre-amp but heres the question.
When i do,
is it pointless going from the 4 ch pre / mixer / delta 44 ????
By going through my mixer am I just putting more noise in the signal chain??? am I better off connecting the pre's straight to my delta 44???
(the only point of the mixer I can see is eq'ing on recording)
(at the moment I'm connecting directly to my mixer, and using my aux sends to the delta's inputs)

I would say bypass your mixer entirely when recording and eq on your PC.

You might just want to route back out to the mixer from the delta 44 for a headphone or control room monitor mix

Ditto on that...I would just cut the mixer out of the signal path and EQ once it is in your DAW..

I thought as much,
great,
thanks guys I'll just do that
