Hey I'm saving up some money and was just wondering if I could get some advice on buying a sampler.
I try to record any style and just kinda screw around with sounds and stuff so right now what i really like is strange kinda dark electronica stuff that's kinda hip hop based,i dunno almost anything like i said. Right now ive been trying to record kind of that but everythign is coming off sloppy obviously because im only working with a loop pedal. I record on a tascam 424 portastudio, i have an alesis sr 16 and a tr 707 and a microkorg.
what i want is a sampler where a can load up organic sounds like record sounds form my synth or of an amped guitar or of a strange noise from a bent kids keyboard. I wanna be able to load them up and pu tsome crazy beats on top of it an djust totally mash around with it.
Sorry for the longwinded message but here's what I need help with.
I need to know the best kinda sampler for this as I'm not using computer i need one that will do analog justice. I was looking at the 606 and it seemed pretty cool but once again i know practically nothing about this so any help would be amazing.
Also i saw this you tube video of a guy sequencing his home made synth with a tr 606 drum machine.....
https://youtube.com/watch?v=CrEdY2EmLoQ
if any once knows which machine he's sequencing his stuff with and how this is even possible that would be cool to know as well. Also, should i buy a sequencer as well or do they have samplers built inot sequencers.
this is long and complex of a message so thanks to anyone who responds.
