Ok, I've got $350, but I'm not sure if I should buy some wharfedales for monitoring, or mics, or something else. 
I'm currently monitoring through some old Cerwin Vegas and a vintage Mitsubishi Amp, but I'm afraid they might be coloring the sound to much.
How essential would the Wharfes be to improving my recordings? Here's my latest recording. How could monitors improve that?
Should I look into purchasing mics for my drumset instead? Right now I'm using 2 SM57s as overheads, D112 on kick, and SM57 on snare. I'm sure I could improve on that with $350 in mics.
