Is that a shock mount on the front of that mic? Is this some new technique that I don't know about?

 
And not one person involved with that advert thought it looked a bit odd? :)
 
Another well kept secret is...if you place a computer tower two feet from the mic, it adds a beautiful white noise background ambiance to the room.
 
I believe that is a DUMBASS in front of the mic.
 
I am going to reallly get some mileage out of this one.

Hey it came in the box. He figured he had to stick it on there SOMEWHERE.....
 
It's not on the microphone! It's part of his orthodontic retainer headgear.
 
It protects the mic from his time to time rather shocking narratives
