I know a guy who i talk to more via emails then anything these days, anyway, he`s cool as heck, and a good frend of mine, but he keeps ranting and raving over this great system or watever the heck it is, named "DAK"...I did a lil`internet searching on it, but have`nt really figured out what the heck he`s talking about??

either way, I don`t remember ever seeing it mentioned on here, so it must not be all that and a bag of chips as they say..no??..LOL

Why don't you ask him what the hell he's talking about?

thanks for the reply`s...kinda..LOL..
anyway, I have ask him what is DAK, and he just said a neat lil`thing to record with..LOL..
he`s a very busy person, works about 11hours a day, so I figured I`d just ask the kind people here what it was?
my friend who i reffered to, is FAR from a home recording person, but rather, he just said he wanted to find a way to record his old records to his comoutor, then CD etc..

anyway, if no one on here is familar with it, no big deal..must not be a common program or something..

Ah OK. I had a feeling that's what it was. It's exactly like a Henway.

What's a.... ??? oh, yeah, about three pounds....

Come on Rami, you can't use that one twice in a week and expect to get away with it.... :D

DAK use to send out catalogs of various electronic - mostly consumer stereo equipmet (tape decks, amps, equalizers, speakers, etc) - they also had bass enhancers, etc.

It's possible your friend has a piece of DAK equipment like an enhancer - but he doesn't know what to call it - so he naively says "DAK".

I know DAK also made thinkamajigs and whatdayacallits as well.

He probably means "DAC" = "Digital to Analogue Converter" and doesn't really know what he is talking about.

He has probably heard someone saying the term and uses it to try and impress. :D

I have an OLD pair of DAK headphones. They were ok ...... now they're broken.

Could he mean DAC - digital-to-analog converter?

The only DAK I know of is a mixer box for connecting a turntable to a PC sound card.
