I have got myself into a mess by purchasing a computer loaded with vista. I have an m-audio delta 24/96 card that I cannot use do to a lack of vista drivers. I am looking at the e-mu 1212m but I'm unsure if I want to take the risk on it due to the fact that they(emu) are offering beta drivers only. Hopefully someone has some advice....other than throwing my vista loaded computer out the window.

Can't you uninstall Vista? I use a Mac so I don't get this problem but if you shove an XP disc in will it not boot from that in BIOS, and then you can replace Microsoft's shitty new OS with something usable?

tascam has solid vista drivers available for most all of their interfaces...

I really am thinking of just getting rid of vista and installing xp. That's probably the best thing to do.

I went through this same ordeal 3 months ago. I zero-formatted my HD and installed XP. BEFORE you do this, make sure you can obtain XP versions of all the drivers for your hardware!

I still cannot find a proper XP driver for the onboard wireless LAN unit on my HP. Not a big deal though since I already had the ethernet cable for my old PC.

Plan on spending most of a weekend on this. Hunting down and getting the drivers to work is a real pain.
