What remote for a 238?

Hello everyone. I just recently purchased a tascam 238 syncassette. It is quite rockin! I am interested in buying a remote control for it, and I was wondering what kind of units were compatible. The RC-88 is the only one that Im aware of, and they go like (very expensive) hotcakes on eBay. What other options do I have?
