In the past 4 years I used to be subscribed to Mix magazine, Recording magazine, Electronic Musician magazine, TapeOp and Remix magazines. I also read (but not subscribe to) Sound On Sound (SOS) sometimes at Borders and Barnes and Nobles monthly. I'm currently subscribed to Guitar World magazine. Out of them all I like Guitar World and Electronic Musician best. Not to say that the others are bad, just my preferences. Actually they all are pretty good in their own way and some are quite similar. When I read I don't really care what magazine it is, it's what you get out of it that matters most. Overall, I've learned something from all of these magazines.

Which magazine(s) are you subscribe to? What's your favorite?:D:cool:

I get Guitar Player every month. Have for years.

Lately though I have been in EQ magazine. Lots of cool recording tricks in that.

Plumpers [just for the CD reviews] and Canadian Pizza Monthly. [don't laugh...it's a real magazine].

Nothing, aside from Tape Op, which is, of course, free. I'll sometimes look at gear reviews on line from some of the other mags when they are available. I've probably learned more from some of the pros on the various BBS (like Harvey :D).

Tape-Op. I used to subscribe to Homerecording and Recording but they just kept repeating themselves and each other.

Tape Op and EQ (which I get free from school! awesome!)

SOS, Tape Op, EQ and Recording.

I only have to pay for two of them/:cool:

Of course Tape Op is free to anyone.

I was subscribed to EQ, but it keeps shrinking, and some of the last few months have been kind of dismal.

I will pick up the odd issue of "Recording".

Sound on Sound rules.

Homerecording.com beats them all, though.

Over the years I've spent way too much on magazines that I could have spent on gear. Now I refuse to subscribe, if there's nothing interesting in an issue I just don't buy.

I go to the bookstore, then read the entire mag, then I put it back in the stand.

Mike

Yes, eq has gotten very thin indeed the last few months. It's a trend that has been going on for some time, and not a good one!

Yeah - just got a copy in the mail today.

I am done with EQ. Not going to renew.
