What Mixer Should I Buy

Hey

I was wondering if you guys could tell me a good mixer to buy to run into the line in on my computer. my budget is like......800 dollars canadian...so thats what? 400 american? anyone got any suggestions

would like at least 8 inputs
not sure how many preamps? explain?

I picked up my 1202 VLZ-Pro for $250 (american) used. Great for the price. It only has 4 mic inputs, and another 4-8 line inputs (if you wanna plug a bass from the amp into it, or a guitar, etc...)

What is it you are trying to do?
 
the number of preamps you want = the most number of mics (and/or instruments needing preamps you will be using at the same time)....
