anybody have an idea as to what mic this is? It sounds really good, so I'm guessing I can't afford it..

MXL 990. It's closer to a $35 dollar mic.

In the price range I'd a rode nt1a instead. I have both and never use the MXL.

Went down the workers club last night, on the way out I was unlocking my bike. An old codger (yes older than me) watch me unlock it and said," it's a shame we have to lock them (bikes) up" I agreed, he then went on to say, "I have to lock up the wife too nowadays, because she is a bit of a bike", I was speechless at that point.
