It is a picture of a microphone to be used as a licensed general rendition of a mic....in short an image owned by that particular company. All of the logos, trademarks, brands, etc have been airbrushed out to not cause a fee to be paid to the actual microphone company that built it. Much like the mics you see on television. The brandname cannot legally be shown.

Sorry, forgot it required a login. Thanks for the link dgatwood.

cavedog - I figured as much. But can anyone identify what kind it is by looking at it?

Looks sort of like an Neumann M-149 or M-150.

Yea, can't see no pic - although apparently we need not worry if its a generic pic of a microphone :p

I think its a tlm103. Can they be yolk mounted like that though?

So it is!

I totally didn't even think about looking there...

A Really Really Good One for studio use!
That is a Neuman, I am not sure of what model number but that mic goes for about 2K.

So how did you come up with this? How do you know what it sells for if you don't know the model? For that matter, how would you know it is a Neumann?

The grill is very similar to a lot of Neumanns, but the size of the mic body is much smaller then any neumann I have used.

Because a friend of mine has one that is identical to the one in the picture and I know how much he paid for it.

dont think neumann uses a mount like that .... just a spider mount is'nt it???

Except thats not true. Its not identical. Doesn't look like a Neumann to me.
