What kind of cable do i need? please help

I got a Shure 55sw original mic.....and it uses some kind of cable i have no idea what it is.

the plug design is

as opposed to the XLR

hope ya'll understood that.

and it has threading at the top on the outside of where it plugs in....what the f*ck kind of plug is this?

Could be a 3-pin DIN??
if it is....where might i be able to find it?

please help.

Check out this pdf... describes the original 55...

In particular, one section describes "...a built-in cable connector was supplied, as were a special locking microphone plug attached to the cable, and threads for stand mounting...."

Looks like you may need to contact Shure to get the appropriate connection apparatus... aren't you glad we have connector standards now??? (at least for mics)!

As if one omnipotent wasn't enuff . . .

I got a couple of those old shures with 3 and 4 pin connectors and a threaded ring that screws into the mike base.
