What is up with Alesis?

I ordered a pair of Alesis M1 Actives at the end of June. The vendor said then that they were on backorder until July 31. I'm told now that Alesis won't deliver the monitors until August 20...why do I get the feeling that will slip, too?

Does anyone have any idea what Alesis' problem is? It's my first purchase of any of their stuff...oddly, I'm not impressed.

Maybe I should just cancel the order and get some other pair....too bad those Yamaha NS-10s have disappeared....

Alesis went Chapter 11 and was purchased. Things have slowed as a result. They will shipping products again in the next month or two, apparently...
