Hey guys lately i wanted to get into DJing and stuff and wanted to get my self a numark mixtrack pro. Though before spending money on it i wanted to see just what its like to mix and ive sound some old mixer my dad used before its the Yamaha MG10/2 , now i dont know if i can connect this to my pc and use it to mix music, and on a program like virtual dj? Can you help?

It depends on what you mean by mix.

Is this traditional two-source DJing, or mixing like an engineer at abbey road would do?

The numark emulates hands on DJ decks and the yamaha routes several sources of audio to a stereo mix.

The Yamaha is not what you want for DJ'ing........the Numark is def more where you want to go....

I can't believe I just typed that........

Lol i meant this modern dj-ing with decks and mixers, but this mixer doesnt have decks i was still wondering if i could use the mixer in virtual dj? and how do i even connect it to my pc? only got a power cable..

the yamaha is analog only...that means you need yet another device to convert the analog signal to a digital signal before you can fetch or send sounds from or to your PC and your mixer........
