What is the vs 890?

I was thinking of buying a vs880ex on monday from musicians freind, but am now worried about the new 890. Is this a better machine? I thought that the 880ex would be perfect for me, but i am worried about paying for it, and then the price dropping major in three monthes. I really dont want to wait to much longer to buy something, as I am losing all of my ideas! does anyone know about the 890 or have some advice for me?

What ever you buy, the price is going to sink in three mounths.
Do you want a good digital recorder?
Do you want to learn about recording?
Maybe these things are more important than waiting until computers are for free.

I've got a VS890 and it's great. Main differences above the 880EX are 24 bit converters. CD mastering mode, VSR recording mode (higher quality but memory hungry), bigger disk partitions. Check out the VSR880 on the roland users group which has similar specs (without the mixer stage).
