I am looking for a great piano sound. I have the EXS24mkII.

I want a cheap but good solution. Now, from Post Musical Instruments there is a GRANDIOSO BöSENDORFER 290 Plug -in:

Plug-In

And there is also a GRANDIOSO BöSENDORFER 290 Sample collection for the EXS24mkII:

EXS24mkII Sample Library

The Plug in costs about $50 less. What is the real difference in sound quality, convieneince, etc...

In other words which would you buy if you were in my shoes and wanted a nice piano sound?

Well, I ran up the samples on my monitors and there was not a whole lot of difference so I would save $50 and go with the convenience of the plug in.

Errr... both Demo pages were *exactly* the same... so why not go for the cheapest :D

(nice piano sounds though)

One thing for sure...the demos are superb !
If I were a piano player I'd love this plug-in !

Keyboard mag has a review of one of em this month (the other was reviewed in June '02). I forget which was which. Reviewer found some weirdness in the envelopes a few octaves up (read the review for exact info) but said it wouldn't deter him from using this ALL THE TIME.

I'm happy enough with my freebie mda-piano VSTi to not be looking, otherwise, I'd be really hot to try this.
