I attached a very small mp3 where there is a percussion instrument as if it would a hi-hat like an hiss-hiss-hiss... Does anyone know the name of it?

Nope, tambourine it's the one that sounds just once in the mp3. The one I was looking for (and just found!) is 'shake'.
Funny -- AD has not this sound in any of the drum sets (it has several different tambourines but no one shake). I had to import a sample to one of the FL tracks to use it.

Didn't sound like a shaker. Sounded like a tambourine.

Are we talking about the ultra short 2 second sample? Sure it's not a cabassa?

I was going to say cabassa, you can turn the balls and get a hi hat sound, if you are really good you can shake them and by flicking your wrist get an open hi hat sound. My wife was good at doing this when we had a band together.
