Hi everyone,
I've got an older laptop (e.g. 3.5 years!) that i do some audio processing with (using wavelab); some plugins seem to really eat up DSP (e.g. waves RVERB), and if I've got enough things going at once, the audio gets 'choppy'. The computer has a 500MHz celeron chip and 256MB's of RAM. My question is, what is the limiting factor here as far as processing audio with plugins. Would an upgrade to 512MB solve some of my audio symptoms, or is the CPU speed simply too slow ?
Thanks,
T
